= Onsite Background The Department is committed to providing high quality education services to all Florida students and requires IT Staff Augmentation services to assist the Department and Technology staff in meeting that goal. B. Minimum Qualifications of Candidate The Department is seeking a Database Administrator professional with the following minimum qualifications (these qualifications must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks): Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Related work experience will be considered. Minimum eight years of experience working with various database management systems in database design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and administration of multiple platform environments. Experience with performing backup and recovery on database management systems, configure database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements. 3 Minimum eight years of experience writing complex efficient queries, views, stored procedures, and user defined functions with
MS T/SQL.
Minimum five years of experience with MS SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) utilizing parameters, sub-reports, drill down technologies and subscriptions. Minimum five years of experience producing technical documentation related to requirements, specifications, traceability matrices, designs, or testing. Minimum three years of experience creating and maintaining reports in Azure Power BI. Minimum three years of experience developing with web applications. Minimum two years of experience working with Azure Dev Ops and Visual Studio .NET. Minimum two years of experience working with Azure SQL Managed Instance. Expertise in aligning application strategies with data security standards and regulatory requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio, Reviews documents, including requirements documents, testing plans, development plans and architectural plans to ensure that implementation of said documents and plans will result in the system required by the user. Demonstrated experience with large-scale implementation projects. Deliverables/Tasks The Database Administrator key deliverables include, but are not limited to, the following: Managing and maintaining all production and non-production databases related to the EFS modernization project. Managing and maintaining the Enhanced Field System (EFS) migration process. Maintaining and updating the DEL website Parent Portal as necessary. Actively participate in meetings or other project activities to produce project deliverables. Producing monthly status reports that outline accomplishments and planned activities for the following month. Understanding the project requirements and project goals and using that understanding to produce project deliverables. Communicating project progress and information to key stakeholders. Assisting in the preparation of information for program leadership team, executive steering committee, and project management as appropriate. Ensuring technical direction and standards for database maintenance, access and security are being followed. Identifying and eliminating obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementation. Assist in the development and implementation of contingency plans. Participating in conference calls with State and Federal stakeholders, as necessary. Researching and maintaining knowledge in database administration and possible application to the project/program
