= Onsite The Contractor will provide an experienced Database Analyst to: " Manage database administration and maintenance. " Performance optimization to improve databases and server structures. " Provide data integrity and management for data quality and consistency. " Execute project-based tasks such as database migrations, installations, software upgrades. " Support and troubleshoot performance issues and resolve tickets. " Collaborate with stakeholders and validate all related task requirements. " Utilize T-SQL, PL/SQL and any other database management systems. " Develop and manage documentation on database and server environments. " The Contractor, through its selected candidate, must perform all tasks and complete the deliverables identified in this Statement of Work (SOW).
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR CONTRACTOR'S CANDIDATE
To accomplish the work outlined above, FDACS requires an experienced Database Analyst with the following skills and experiences listed below. This list is not exhaustive; nor are all skills required. Technical skills, written and verbal communication, and experience will be the basis for evaluation of responses to the RFQ.
Minimum Qualifications:
" 10+ years of IT business/industry work experience. " 5+ years of experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle database management systems. " Experience with Sun Solaris operating systems and Oracle WebLogic. " 5+ years of experience supporting multiple services and multiple databases of medium to high complexity with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility of data. " Hands-on experience using Azure Synapse, Data Warehouse, DevOps or GitHub. " Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with Department staff. " Excellent written and verbal communication skills. " Experience utilizing BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) to provide insights and support decision-making. " Technical proficiency with T-SQL, PL/SQL, and other database languages. " Strong leadership skills and experience working with cross-functional teams. Preferred Experience for a
Database Analyst:
" Extensive Oracle database administration, 2019 Certified Professional, and/or Certified SQL Server Professional " Experience leading the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Oracle relational database management systems. " Experience leading the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Sun Solaris operating systems and Oracle WebLogic and/or SQL Server. In addition, Fusion Middleware, Apex, and Solaris. " Experience working in a Unix environment. " Extensive architecture training and experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex problems pertaining to the database infrastructure. " Extensive experience writing PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle stored procedures, functions, packages, and database triggers and/or SQL Server. " Extensive experience in designing logical databases and data models. " Knowledge of data privacy and protection initiatives. Educational qualifications meeting at least one of the following levels: " Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, management information systems or equivalent work experience and ten years of work experience in information technology, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, or program evaluation. The Advanced Database Analyst(s) will be responsible for the following tasks: " Database administration in SQL Server and/or large Oracle (12c and 11g) Solaris-based production environment including assisting Department staff, as directed by the Contract Manager or Functional Manager(s). Including all stages of database implementation and deployments. " Analysis, review, coordination, and implementation of new databases and server requests. " Upgrade, manage and troubleshoot Oracle forms and reports, patching process, roles review, audits, and research cloud migration opportunities. " Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving database performance issues, or related problem resolution. " Provide administration, maintenance and support of server hardware with Sun Solaris operating systems. " Provide direct support for the SQL Server and/or Oracle databases as assigned by the Contract Manager. The support includes facilitating training and documenting processes. " Comply with OATS Administrative Policies and Procedures. " Ensure that the logical data model design adheres to the Department's standard-based upon best practices and guidelines. " Coordinate and deploy application changes, including Procedural Language/Structured Query Language (PL/SQL) object and data model changes, to production databases following industry best practices and Department's policies and procedures. " Work with development teams to tune SQL queries and improve performance. " Ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases result in high availability and optimum performance as defined by the Department. " Design, implement and maintain database maintenance scripts, including replication and monitoring. " Perform daily operational duties, including monitoring, statistical analysis, and troubleshooting of performance issues using appropriate and Department approved tools and scripts, not limited to using the OAM, Databricks, and Synapse. " Design and maintain automated processes including DBA jobs, DBA scheduler or SQL Server job scheduler, SSIS packages, ETL, pipelines, and CRON scripts. " Perform quality assurance and validation to ensure solutions meet business needs and comply with standards. " Provide ongoing support and expertise for business users, addressing issues and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. " Coach, mentor, and train OATS team members and other FDACS staff. " Create and maintain technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). " Attend and participate in project meetings and provide regular status updates. " Submit weekly project reports and time sheets.
