At DMARC, data is our superpower. The purpose of this position is to manage and maintain two database systems and analyze the data to tell the story of hunger in Greater DSM. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and will share reports from both systems with network partners, other DMARC staff members and the community at large. This is a Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm position. Evening and weekend hours, as required. Seasonally, additional hours may be required and/or available. Essential Functions Management of the Food Pantry Network (FPN) intake data system. Built from the ground up just for us, this system is used by 13 food pantries for customer intake and pantry usage. Train new pantries and users on the system focused on user confidence and data privacy including user access control. Create SOPs and instructions. Utilize SQL to profile, clean, and deduplicate database records on a regular basis to maintain data accuracy Act as primary contact between developer and DMARC for any updates, issues, maintenance. Create data dashboards using Power BI or similar for website, presentations and groups. Analyze data looking for trends, patterns and exceptions to tell the story of DMARC Management of warehouse inventory reporting system Primarius 2 is inventory software built for food banks and used for tracking food inventory movement and ordering by 13 pantries. Gain a thorough understanding of the capabilities of the system and working with the warehouse manager, ensure DMARC's use is effective. Run a series of monthly reports used for forecasting, fundraising and budgeting. Build reports to using for forecasting and other business needs. Manage software updates and data integrity. Other duties as assigned General Requirements Bachelor's Degree and/or 3-5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of training, education, and/or experience Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and work with a variety of people and personalities. Skills and Qualifications Strong problem solving, communication, and organization skills/time management skills Ability to read and interpret complex materials and documents, analyze information, and produce reports/visualizations Previous experience working with data visualization, multiple databases, reporting/presentation tools, and/or spreadsheets Understanding of project management practices Experience training others Ability to produce and update training/reporting procedures for a large network of individuals Basic to Intermediate SQL skills (ability to write complex queries, joins, and data manipulation scripts safely within a MariaDB/MySQL or similar environment). Previous experience working with data visualization tools ( Power BI, Tableau, etc ), multiple database architectures, and cloud data connection workflows. Ability to organize and lead meetings Display excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Demonstrate full support of organizational mission, vision, and values Ability to adapt to sudden priority changes and/or altered deadlines Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
