This role supports mission‑critical systems used for personnel, logistics, warfighter readiness, and command‑and‑control functions. This position is designated as a floater, meaning the operator will primarily work the 1100-1900 shift but must be able to flex across all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) to maintain 24x7 coverage. Respond to system alerts and incidents; perform first‑level troubleshooting and escalate per incident management procedures. Maintain accurate logs, shift documentation, and audit‑ready records supporting cybersecurity and configuration management requirements. Support COOP and Disaster Recovery exercises and real‑world events. Enforce access controls, data handling rules, and
OPSEC/IA
requirements. Coordinate with government, military, and contractor personnel to ensure mission success.
Qualifications Skills/Qualifications:

Must comply with all DoD physical security, cybersecurity, and OPSEC requirements. 2+ years of hands‑on experience operating enterprise mainframe systems in a production environment. Equivalent education or certifications may be considered in place of experience. Familiarity with batch scheduling tools and mainframe operational workflows. Experience supporting DoD, classified, or highly regulated environments. Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays when mission needs require. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience supporting DoD, DISA, or service‑specific environments (Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force). Knowledge of ITIL‑based incident, problem, and change management processes. Experience with mainframe automation, monitoring, and console management tools. Familiarity with DoD RMF processes and cybersecurity controls.
Clearance Requirements:
