Job Description

Database Administrator 3
  • Work with other Database Admins to administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database.
  • Support evaluation and recommendations for available database management system (DBMS) products.
  • Support executing database and software life-cycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements.
  • Support executing Oracle, SQL Server and SYBASE Database and Application server administration.
  • Organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes.
  • Establish and maintain database user accounts.
  • Run reports upon request.
  • Supporting execution of disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data.
  • Support development of policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s)
  • Support data modeling activities by way of prototype database implementations.
  • Support the monitoring, administrating, and implementing performance on database systems as well as database performance optimization, developing/changing database indices, redesigning database structure and reloading data into a database.
  • Coordinate database architecture changes with database engineers.
  • Support the installation of database management systems, databases, tables and views.
  • Support the administration and use of current and emerging database tools, strategies and technologies.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information;

Position /
Candidate Requirements:
    Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology (IT) discipline from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of experience.
    • 8+ years of experience with Associate's Degree.
    • 4 years of experience in programs of similar size and complexity.
    • Have DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II or higher.
    • Have certification as a LENEL Certified Expert (LCE) with a concentration in databases, obtained within six (6) months of personnel starting on contract.
    • Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills.
    • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
    • Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus. We offer an excellent benefits package including:

    Pay Range:
    $104,080 - $156,120 What we offer:
