Data Center Technician Location:
Owings Mills, Maryland (On-site)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated professional to support the operation and maintenance of a critical data center environment. Our team relies on this position to ensure the reliability, safety, and smooth operation of data center infrastructure through preventative maintenance and strategic monitoring.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance tasks and site rounds, monitoring and recording critical system data. Operate and maintain both critical and non-critical infrastructure, equipment, and systems in the data center, including HVAC, electrical, and fire suppression components. Respond to and coordinate resolution of electrical and mechanical issues, ensuring rapid recovery and clear communication with related teams. Oversee outside contractors to ensure compliance with critical facility work protocols and conduct facility rounds to maintain data center standards.
Required:
5-7 years of relevant experience in critical facilities or similar environments. Basic skills in HVAC, electrical, and fire suppression systems. Prior military service or technical school training preferred. 1-3+ years' experience in mission critical environments and an electrical or mechanical license, preferred.
