Job Description:
We are seeking an engineer with handson Oracle Exadata platform expertise combined with strong Oracle client/applicationside experience to support largescale database migrations and ongoing production operations. Core platform skills. Deep experience with Oracle Exadata (onprem or OCI / Database@Azure), including architecture, performance characteristics, HA/DR concepts, and operational support. Strong Oracle Database administration skills (11g/12c/19c ), including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, patching, backup/recovery, and performance tuning. Experience executing and supporting Oracle database migrations from VMbased or traditional environments to Exadata, including cutover planning and validation. Client / applicationside expertise. Strong understanding of Oracle client connectivity, including
JDBC/ODP.NET, OCI
clients, TNS, DNSbased redirection, and connection string behavior. Ability to support application teams during migrations, including connectivity validation, performance verification, and postmigration troubleshooting. Experience working with enterprise applications (e.g., Pega, portal, middleware platforms) that depend on Oracle databases. Operational and collaboration skills. Ability to partner closely with DBA, infrastructure, and application teams during premigration prep, migration events, and postcutover support. Experience supporting production migrations, including change management, outage coordination, and escalation handling. Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and validation in enterprise environments (e.g., performance baselining, postmigration checks). Top 5
Mandatory Skills:
Oracle Exadata Platform Expertise:
Hands on experience with Exadata architecture, performance characteristics, HA/DR, and operational support (on prem or OCI / Database@Azure).
Oracle Database Administration & Migration:
Strong DBA skills (19c preferred) including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, backup/recovery, patching, and executing VM to Exadata migrations with production cutovers.
Oracle Client Connectivity & Integration:
Deep understanding of Oracle client side connectivity (JDBC, ODP.NET, OCI clients, TNS, DNS based redirection, connection strings) and how applications consume Oracle databases.
Application Migration & Validation Support:
Ability to work directly with application teams to validate connectivity, performance, and functionality during and after Exadata migrations, including troubleshooting issues at the app/DB boundary.
Production Operations & Cross Team Coordination:
Experience supporting production migrations, coordinating change windows, handling escalations, and collaborating across DBA, infrastructure, and application teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server and similar databases, Expert. Ability to communicate effectively with analysts, developers, tests, and project managers in both oral and written form., Advanced. Ability to work minimal supervision., Advanced. High-level of analytical and troubleshooting skills., Expert. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications., Advanced. Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SL), Advanced.
Education Level:
Bachelor's Degree.
Education Details:
Computer Science or IT related field.
Experience:
5 years' Experience perform full data management duties, including migration and continuous integration/delivery.
In Lieu of Education:
