St. Louis-based with local project travel or full-time traveler Position Description:
We are looking for an MEP Field Engineer II to join our team. This role supports both field operations and project management teams in the successful execution of commercial construction projects, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The MEP Field Engineer II will spend time in the field assisting Superintendents and time in the office supporting Project Managers while continuing to develop technical knowledge and construction management experience. This role supports complex industrial projects, including manufacturing and food & beverage facilities, as well as mission-critical data centers. Responsibilities Assist Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Project Managers with daily project operations and coordination activitiesSupport coordination of MEP trade partners including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection contractorsParticipate in project meetings, site walks, and coordination discussionsMaintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting notes, and tracking logsAssist with material tracking, procurement coordination, and project reportingSupport Look-Ahead Scheduling and short-term project planning activitiesHelp track project progress and communicate schedule updates to project teamsSupport cost tracking efforts and maintain accurate project documentationAssist with trade partner bid solicitations, scope reviews, buyout activities, and compliance trackingCollaborate with project teams to help resolve scope gaps and field coordination issuesHelp monitor quality standards and support QA/QC processes on-siteAssist in identifying and resolving field issues to support schedule and project performanceSupport enforcement of OSHA and company safety standards on the jobsiteBegin taking ownership of smaller tasks and responsibilities with minimal daily oversightContribute to team performance through proactive communication, accountability, and collaborationDemonstrate PARIC's core values by building trust, supporting team culture, and investing in personal and professional growthOther duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications Required:
Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, apprenticeship program completion, or equivalent construction experience2-4 years of experience in commercial construction or related field experienceStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively in both field and office environmentsProficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software Preferred:
Exposure to MEP systems or coordination activitiesFamiliarity with construction drawings, scheduling, and project documentation processesExperience supporting commercial or industrial construction projectsFamiliarity with BIM/VDC tools Why Join Us?
