DBA Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a DBA Engineer with strong expertise in SQL Server to support mission-critical applications by managing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise database environments. This role focuses on performance tuning, proactive monitoring, and ensuring reliable and high-performing data services. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large-scale database systems and collaborating with development teams to resolve performance challenges. Key Responsibilities Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Microsoft SQL Server databases Monitor database performance and analyze slow queries to implement tuning strategies Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access patterns in collaboration with application teams Perform routine database maintenance including backups, restores, integrity checks, and patching Support high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as AlwaysOn Availability Groups, clustering, and replication Automate database maintenance and operational tasks where applicable Diagnose and resolve database-related performance issues impacting applications Participate in on-call rotations to support production releases and critical incidents Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in professional services or related roles 5+ years of experience working with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL 5+ years of experience with SQL and data modeling tools 5+ years of experience in stored procedures, query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning Preferred Qualifications Experience with high availability and disaster recovery technologies such as SQL Server AlwaysOn or clustering Knowledge of cloud-based or containerized database environments (e.g., Azure
