Job Description

Database Administrator is needed to perform the following duties:
  • Administer and support database-backed business systems used for operational records, compliance reporting, pharmacy workflows, inventory information, purchasing data, and audit documentation.
  • Maintain data integrity by reviewing database records, validating completeness, organizing reference documentation, and supporting reconciliation of operational and controlled-inventory data.
  • Prepare and maintain database support documents, data dictionaries, SOP references, access/change records, audit evidence, and recurring process documentation.
  • Coordinate with users, managers, pharmacists, compliance staff, and technical teams to clarify data requirements, document issues, and support improvements to information-system workflows.
  • Support reporting and process automation activities by organizing source data, tracking recurring metrics, and helping convert operational requirements into structured database/reporting tasks.
  • Monitor assigned database-support queues, operational exceptions, data-quality checks, reporting issues, user requests, and compliance-related records requiring follow-up.
  • Review reported discrepancies, collect relevant details, document incident facts, and coordinate resolution with business, compliance, pharmacy, or technical stakeholders.
  • Track recurring data and process issues involving regulatory inspections, audit findings, inventory documentation, PDMP submissions, claims information, and operational measures.
  • Maintain issue logs, action items, evidence files, status updates, and escalation notes for recurring database and reporting support activities.
  • Apply compliance-sensitive handling procedures when working with patient-related pharmacy records, controlled-substance documentation, and regulated operational data.
  • Analyze business and compliance requests to identify database fields, data-quality requirements, reporting outputs, user access needs, documentation gaps, and workflow dependencies.
  • Participate in requirement discussions and convert operational questions into structured notes for database changes, reporting updates, SOP revisions, or process-improvement items.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, data-flow notes, requirement summaries, audit-response records, and user-facing explanations for database-supported workflows.
  • Use information-systems and business-process knowledge to understand how purchasing, accounting, pharmacy, compliance, inventory, and claims data support operational decisions.
  • Communicate with cross-functional users to confirm requested changes, resolve missing information, and ensure database-related updates are traceable and documented.
  • Support controlled database changes by preparing validation notes, documentation checklists, user confirmation records, release-support files, and post-change follow-up items.
  • Assist with data validation, reconciliation review, inventory-record checks, audit-document cleanup, and confirmation that required records are complete before reporting or operational handoff.
  • Follow quality, compliance, and change-management procedures when handling database records, SOP updates, reporting files, inventory records, and regulated documentation.
  • Coordinate with users and team members to confirm updates, collect missing evidence, communicate status, and maintain organized supporting files for recurring processes.
  • Maintain documentation for process reviews, audit responses, medication inventory updates, DEA forms, recall/return procedures, and operational handoffs.
