Job Title:

L1 Data Center Technician Reno, NV (Onsite) $18/hr to $22/hr W2 all inclusive without benefits

Long Term Contract Job Summary:

Seeking an L1 Data Center Technician with 1-2 years of experience in data center operations, server installation, cabling, and basic hardware/network troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with rack & stack, fiber/Ethernet cabling, hardware validation, and L1 support in a production data center environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Rack & stack servers, switches, and storage devices Perform fiber and Ethernet cabling, labeling, and cable management Install, relocate, and decommission hardware Perform hardware testing, smoke testing, and validation Troubleshoot server, network, and connectivity issues (L1 support) Handle remote hands activities (power cycling, cable reseating, console access) Update tickets and maintain asset/inventory records

Required Skills:

Server & switch installation Hardware troubleshooting (L1 support) Hardware testing & validation Ethernet/IP networking basics Console operations (SSH, PuTTY) ITSM tools (ServiceNow or similar) Basic switching & routing knowledge
