RRT - Data Center Technician

Travel, Per Diem, Transportation, Lodging About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated L3/L4 Data Center Engineer to support the buildout and operational readiness of a new data center in Ellendale, ND. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to relocate for the duration of the project. All travel and living expenses will be fully covered. Key Responsibilities Maintain data center operations to ensure high availability and reliability Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and perform repairs Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures Train internal teams on systems and procedures Develop and maintain technical documentation Provide technical support to data center teams Create scripts to automate updates for server and networking hardware Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and components Assemble, install, and configure data center equipment Perform maintenance on test and tools equipment Required Skills Data center operations and infrastructure Rack and stack procedures Hardware troubleshooting and repair Cabling and cable management Cisco IOS and Juniper Junos configuration Scripting in Python and Bash Additional Qualifications Experience with computer hardware (assembly and troubleshooting) Proficiency in Linux operating systems Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in elevated locations (reasonable accommodations provided) Willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including on-call rotation and after-hours support Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to issues Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
