Job Description We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Database Administrator (DB2 DBA) to support and maintain critical database environments within the IBM ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DB2 databases , IBM z/OS , and DB2 LUW (Linux, Unix, Windows) platforms, ensuring database availability, performance, security, and reliability for enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities Administer, maintain, and support DB2 databases across Mainframe and LUW environments. Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management. Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to optimize system efficiency. Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and database replication processes. Support application development teams with database design, performance analysis, and troubleshooting. Ensure database security, access controls, and compliance with organizational standards. Perform capacity planning and storage management for DB2 environments. Troubleshoot database-related incidents and provide timely resolution. Create and maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and best practices. Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and support teams within the IBM ecosystem. Required Skills 12+ years of experience as a DB2 Database Administrator . Strong hands-on experience with IBM z/OS environments. Experience administering DB2 for z/OS and DB2 LUW databases. Knowledge of database backup/recovery, performance tuning, and capacity planning. Experience with database security, authorization, and auditing. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with IBM mainframe utilities and tools. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
