Job Description

Role Summary This position involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center hardware and infrastructure. It requires hands-on technical work to ensure the reliable operation of servers, storage devices, networking equipment, and supporting systems. The role supports data center operational excellence through routine maintenance, configuration management, and collaborative project engagement. Responsibilities Install, decommission, and replace hardware components such as servers, storage systems, and networking equipment in data center environments. Perform routine preventative maintenance, including inspection, cleaning, and part replacement to sustain system performance. Manage and organize network, fiber optic, and power cabling within racks, ensuring optimal airflow, connectivity, and ease of maintenance. Troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure issues through visual inspections, cable assessments, power checks, and hardware reseating procedures. Use monitoring tools to track environmental parameters including temperature, humidity, and power consumption, escalating issues as necessary. Respond to work orders and service tickets related to data center operations, documenting actions accurately and completing tasks efficiently. Maintain asset inventory records by documenting installations, removals, and configuration updates within asset management systems. Collaborate with infrastructure engineers, facilities teams, and other stakeholders to support upgrades, deployments, and operational projects. Follow safety standards, security policies, and operational procedures to ensure personnel safety and infrastructure integrity. Provide on-site support during regular business hours and participate in rotating on-call schedules for after-hours emergencies and maintenance. Qualifications Prior experience working in enterprise data center environments with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Proficiency with server, storage, and network hardware components, as well as cable management practices. Knowledge of data center safety procedures, environmental monitoring, and asset management tools. Ability to interpret technical diagrams, asset records, and service documentation accurately. Flexibility to work onsite at designated facilities, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and infrastructure issues quickly. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams and documenting work thoroughly. Physical capacity to lift heavy equipment and perform tasks in confined or elevated spaces. Familiarity with data center infrastructure monitoring tools and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
Publishing Pay Range:
$24.00 to $30.00 hourly This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
