Job Description

Position Title:
Data Center Technician I Pay Range
  • $22•$24/hr
Type:
Onsite 4x per week / 10 hr shift rotations Role Overview We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Data Center Technician to support day-to-day data center operations, hardware troubleshooting, and infrastructure maintenance activities. This role involves hands-on technical work in a physical data center environment, including equipment installation, cabling, break/fix support, and assisting in resolving operational incidents that impact service availability. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, comfortable working in shift-based schedules, and enjoys both independent tasks and team collaboration in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Perform hardware troubleshooting and break/fix activities across servers and related infrastructure components Install, rack, and cable new equipment in data center environment Support basic network and connectivity troubleshooting to help resolve operational issues Participate in on-call and rotation-based support to assist with incident response and infrastructure monitoring Escalate issues appropriately and collaborate with senior technical staff when needed Work in physically active environments, including lifting equipment (up to ~35 lbs individually and heavier items in teams) Follow safety procedures while working in constrained, elevated, or high-noise areas Assist in onboarding and supporting new team members as needed Travel locally between data center sites using a personal vehicle Shift Structure (Rotational Schedule) This role operates on a 4-day work week rotational model, including day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts: Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Standing and walking for extended periods Ability to climb ladders and work at heights Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions Work Conditions 24/7 shift-based data center environment Daily metal detection screening required Work in areas with dust, allergens, and variable temperature conditions Ability to adapt to changing temperatures within the data center Strict adherence to security and safety protocols Work Schedule
