Duration:
5+ months with possible extension Pay range: $25/hr - $28/hr W2 Work schedule:
  • Schedule flexibility required, including potential night shift positions
  • Shift options include Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM or 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
  • Contingent workers are expected to work holidays if scheduled (regular pay, not holiday pay)
  • First two weeks: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM (Training)
Job Description:
As a Data Center Technician, you will serve as a primary resolver for the support team, responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware infrastructure issues. You will support and share knowledge of relevant technologies with team members while working both independently and collaboratively. This role requires basic to intermediate system administration skills and a strong understanding of server hardware. Attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to follow direction are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and infrastructure-related issues Perform hardware replacements and repairs on servers and related equipment Support and maintain data center systems and components Document issues and resolutions using ticketing systems Perform basic network troubleshooting Collaborate with team members and share technical knowledge Follow all operational and security protocols
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years of basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP 1+ years of experience with server or computer hardware components Basic Linux/Unix command line knowledge Ability to perform hardware replacements and repairs Strong communication and teamwork skills Receptive to feedback and able to adjust performance as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Network+, etc.) Experience with ticketing systems and technical documentation
Technical Skills:
Hardware troubleshooting and repair Understanding of cooling systems and power distribution Basic Linux/Unix command line usage Network troubleshooting fundamentals Experience with ticketing and documentation systems
Physical Environment & Working Conditions:
Work in data center environments with variable temperature conditions Exposure to temperature fluctuations based on seasonal and external weather conditions Work areas may include dust, airborne particles, and environmental allergens Must comply with security protocols, including daily metal detection screening
Physical Requirements:
