Cable Technician - Advanced Sr. Lead Technician About the
Role:
As an Advanced Senior Lead , you will play a critical role in overseeing complex data center infrastructure projects, ensuring high-quality installation and decommissioning of network and cabling systems. This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage multiple crews, drive operational excellence, and deliver sustainable, repeatable solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders to remove obstacles, maintain compliance with safety and industry standards, and provide structured feedback on project progress. Your expertise in fiber optics, copper splicing, structured cabling, and data center technologies will be essential in creating accurate material lists, reliable estimates, and coaching team leads to achieve performance metrics and SLAs. This role demands advanced technical knowledge, strong customer relations, and the ability to develop and implement installation teams while maintaining data center cleanliness and quality workmanship.
What You'll Do:
Installation/decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment. Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement. Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders. Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness. Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices. Collaborate with various Stakeholders to remove project obstacles. Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation/redline work. Broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies.
What You'll Need:
Reports to Operations Manager. Must be capable of leading multiple crews. Capable of any size installations or moves and changes. Capable of installing any type of structured or non-structure cabling system. Capable of doing multiple pair copper splicing. Knowledge, understanding and implementation of fiber optic installations, terminations, splicing and testing. Be able to download test results and work with technicians to verify correct results. Knowledge in providing reliable estimates/quotes to customers. Advanced Customer relations. Understanding metrics and SLA's Establish/Develop/Implement Install Teams Create material lists and BOMs based on needs
