Development Operations and Database Manager Oregon Ballet Theatre (OBT) Portland, OR Job Details 16 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Funder relationship management Computer literacy Research Windows Data analytics Microsoft Teams Community relationship building Non-profit experience Project leadership Full Job Description Position Under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer, the Development Operations & Database Manager is involved in all key functions of development operations and makes a significant contribution to achieving Oregon Ballet Theatre's fundraising goals. This position works collaboratively with the Development team in overseeing annual giving campaigns, donor stewardship events and benefits, development communications, gift processing, and strategic utilization of the Tessitura CRM database. This role requires the ability to advise and provide effective recommendations and solutions to achieve overall fundraising goals. This is a pivotal position on the OBT Development team, working synchronously with staff, artists, executive leadership, and the Board of Directors while interacting closely with OBT donors and the public. The work related to this position directly supports Oregon Ballet Theatre's mission and reflects the organization's core values and highest ethical standards. Job Duties/Competencies To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Serves as a thought leader while providing data driven analysis to support recommendations to further the organization's development goals. Oversight of Tessitura CRM database to maximize accurate records, Development reports, management of donor and prospect lists. Create and maintain Development dashboard, with process improvement recommendations to support the central data point for all donor analytics. Serves and takes initiative as main point of contact for major donors providing personalized donor cultivation and high-touch stewardship methods. Implements management plans within the Tessitura database in partnership with the frontline fundraisers. Collaborates with the development team to support donor acquisition and conversion, re-engagement of lapsed donors, growth of recurring, in-kind, and matching gifts. Leads initiatives for personalized gift acknowledgement and stewardship plans in collaboration with Development Officers, Executive Leadership, Artists, Staff and Board Members Demonstrates strong time management skills for, accurate gift processing and reconciliation in collaboration with Finance. Assists with fulfilling donor and sponsorship benefits and recognition in concert with the Individual Giving Manager and the Chief Growth Officer, respectively. Demonstrates a high aptitude for teamwork within Development assisting with annual gala, donor stewardship, and event cultivation. Collaborate with Development team in prospective research while maintaining donor and event briefings. Manages various digital and print Development communications in partnership with Marketing, while recommending solutions for process improvement. Takes initiative to keep up to date on the newest database management and training to develop new strategic opportunities for OBT. Maintains, monitors, and implements process improvements for general department operations for the Development team. Assists with special projects and performs other related duties as required. Education & Experience Associate's degree focused on development, events, marketing and/or patron services, or equivalent time experience. Minimum 3 years' experience in the following areas: Project management requiring strong organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking. Donor, patrons, and community stakeholders' relationship building. Environment that required excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences including donors, volunteers, and community partners. Fundraising in a nonprofit environment. Candidates must be able to pass a thorough background check. While not required, successful candidates will have specific experience within dance and the arts.
