Develops creative approaches to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency, and implements new strategies for Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Life Safety systemsTests performance of electromechanical assemblies and electronic volt metersReads blueprints, schematics, diagrams or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of processesInspects equipment for defects, leaks, and potential issuesInstalls electrical/electronic parts and hardware in housings/assemblies with hand toolsAligns, fits or assembles component parts using hand/power toolsOperates, monitors, maintains, and responds to abnormal conditions in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Life Safety, Security Systems, Building Monitoring Systems, and Control systemsAnalyze systems to ensure best practice for internal/external customersProvides feedback on effectiveness of existing standards and processesWorks with contractors and consultants to review quality assurance for all system expansions, corrections, and upgradesCollaborates on the tracking and completing aggressive preventive and predictive maintenance programsCollaborates on determining maintenance requirements for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire life safety systems, and security systemsProvide smart/remote hands assistance within specified SLAMoves/Adds/Changes hardware install including labeling, power connectivity, and network cable connectivity
Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipmentAbility to stand for long periods of time in various work environmentsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasksBasic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quicklyAbility to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectorsClear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glassesAbility to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cablesAbility to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facilityAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snowCapability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protectionPossession of a valid drivers license for work-related travel, as requiredCompensation & Benefits DisclosureThe hourly rate for this role is $31.00 per hour. This range reflects a goodfaith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health, Discounted Group Life & AD&D, Discounted Group Short & Long-term Disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. The Data Center Facilities Technician provides a working level of data center knowledge and is responsible for the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of the data center electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems. The Data Center Facilities Technician maintains and follows the processes that maximize customer uptime in the most cost-effective way. Ensures that data center problems are identified and repaired quickly, that contractors deliver quality services, and that internal customer demands are met. Level I and II, will possess basic and working knowledge respectively, whereas Level III will possess expert knowledge. Tracking and trending MEP system and equipment operational characteristicsCollaborates with fit-outs, system expansions, corrections, upgrades, and equipment commissioningCollaborates with tracking annual budgetsRelays the status of planned maintenance programsRequired to attend certain high-level meetings and take notes and action items accordinglyServe in a technical writing capacity regarding the creation, review, and approval of procedures for operations, preventive/corrective maintenance activities, and EOPsRequired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience for Success for variedClient SOW:
