April 7, 2026 : #Tech-Pro-Admin-01 Summary Read and interpret various types of build documents to assemble servers and switches into IT data racks. Install Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fiber optic cables utilizing industry standards and best practices. Conduct installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance procedures. Maintain data center system documentation. Perform cabling, racking, and server installations. Communicate and operate with internal and external staff. Provide training and support to other staff regarding repair techniques and procedures. Maintain a clean work area. Responsibilities Data cabinet building tasks, including rack integration and server cabinet builds. Work with CAT5 and CAT6 cabling. Pull and lace cables, test each of the cabinet units, and diagnose cabinets before shipment. Qualifications 3 years of prior experience with cabling data rack systems. May be required to pass a Technical Aptitude test. Good knowledge of data center technology, electronics, and troubleshooting techniques. Understanding of data rack cabling standards. Proficient in using cable and fiber test equipment. Experience handling hard drive devices. Ability to read and interpret various types of build documents, schematics, and cable routing lists. Maintain accurate inventory. Proficient computer skills required for precise data entry of completed units.
