Job Description

firstPRO is seeking a SQL Developer to join our clients team and help design, develop, and optimize database solutions in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will work closely with developers, project managers, and data engineering leadership to support mission-critical applications, improve database performance, and deliver scalable data solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain SQL code, database structures, and data solutions for highly transactional OLTP systems. Collaborate with application developers and project managers to support existing systems and build new database functionality. Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance, including stored procedures, functions, queries, and indexing strategies. Evaluate and fine-tune SQL processes that execute hundreds or thousands of times per minute. Analyze business requirements and software specifications to determine technical feasibility, effort, and resource needs. Participate throughout the full project lifecycle, including planning, estimation, documentation, development, testing, and deployment. Support data modeling initiatives and ensure adherence to database design best practices. Qualifications Required 3-4 years of recent experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or newer, preferably within an e-commerce environment. Experience designing SQL database structures and stored procedures for high-volume transactional applications. Strong experience optimizing SQL functions, stored procedures, and queries for performance and scalability. Deep understanding of relational database design principles and best practices. Experience with data modeling and schema design. Proficiency creating and maintaining tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, and other database objects. Technologies You'll Encounter While not all are required, experience with any of the following is a plus: Microsoft SQL Server SQL Profiler, Performance Monitor, and related performance tuning tools XML and JSON data structures

$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
