Vision Insurance Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain Oracle NetSuite and Oracle EPM databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. Manage SQL Server 2019 and Azure SQL Server instances, including provisioning, monitoring, backup/recovery, patching, and performance tuning. Administer MySQL databases, including configuration, replication, and optimization. Manage Azure Gen2 Data Lake storage, ensuring proper data ingestion, organization, security, and accessibility for analytics workloads. Institute best practices for data availability, ensuring high uptime, disaster recovery readiness, and business continuity. Ensure data validity through implementation of data quality checks, validation rules, and integrity constraints. Establish and monitor data security protocols, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Optimize database performance for analytics workloads and reporting queries. Monitor database performance metrics and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks. Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems for database health and availability. Design and test backup and recovery strategies for all database platforms. Serve as point of escalation for critical database incidents and outages. In office scheduling requirements are determined by your supervisor and are subject to change at any time. Reaching Education and/orExperience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of certifications with 5+ years of hands-on database administration experience Minimum 2+ years of experience with Oracle NetSuite and Oracle EPM administration Strong technical database expertise with a strategic mindset for data management and governance Strong expertise in SQL Server and Azure SQL Server administration Experience managing Azure Gen2 Data Lake storage and data ingestion pipelines Experience with MySQL database administration and optimization Minimum two (2) years' experience with any data visualization tools (PowerBI/Tableau/Qlik) Experience with ETL processes and tools Experience with Office 365 automation apps (Power Automate, Flow, Power Apps) Highly organized with an aptitude for problem-solving Great time management Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office, especially Excel SAM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
