Director of Data Services Summary of Position:
The Data Assistant is a part-time position that will work on special data projects at the Bloomsburg University Foundation for any databases that are managed. Research, confirmation and entry of biographical, alumni and business data will be the primary focus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Works on data entry projects in the area of constituent business information and other identified focus areas
Researches demographic changes and updates constituent records
Assists with cleanup of current database to areas such as duplicates, addresses, emails and business information
Carefully follows standards, policies and procedures for data entry
Enters data such as volunteer hours, new releases and event attendance

It should be recognized, therefore, that employees may be asked to perform job related duties in addition to those outlined above. Minimum qualifications, knowledge and abilities:
Three years' experience with computer systems, databases and Microsoft Office Suite of products, especially Microsoft Excel.
Excellent computer skills and ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software.
Strong proofreading, spelling and editing skills; attention to detail.
Knowledge of multiple hardware and software solutions.
Accurate keyboarding skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects under time constraints and still maintain flexibility.
Absolute confidentiality.
Ability to work independently as well as establish and maintain harmonious relations with other staff, faculty, students, alumni, volunteers and donors.
Experience with Raiser's Edge preferred.
Experience in a Development office preferred.
College-level course work preferred. Physical Conditions Ability to sit for extended period of time. Ability to concentrate in an open-floor plan Physical demands are modest. Visual acuity and manual dexterity are required for keyboarding. Occasional travel to other university offices and activity sites.
Speech, visual and hearing abilities that are sufficient to read and view written materials, and effectively communicate and interact with others in person and over the telephone.
Pay:
