Cutting-edge tech, ownership of multiple greenfield projects, no red tape, a friendly/collaborative environment, beautiful offices, responsible for your own desk on day 1! My client are an elite HFT with a strong presence in Chicago. They are looking to expand a team already made up of some of the smartest minds in the industry and are able to compete with any other firm Role Installing and cabling switches, servers, and appliances in their datacenters Maintaining and improving datacenter documentation Facilitating the installation of servers and networking equipment Working with the team on new build-outs/datacenters Replacing hard drives/memory/transceivers and other hardware related tasks as required by other teams Experience 3- 10 Years of Data Center experience (They're open to all experience levels) Linux knowledge Experience with servers Knowledge of structured cabling systems using cat 5, cat 6, multi-mode and single-mode fiber Working knowledge of server hardware and out-of-band management (IPMI / iDRAC / iLO) Familiarity with optics and transceivers and patch testing Familiarity with colocation operations and major providers
