Database Administrator (Remote - SQL Focused) Overview Security Finance is seeking a SQL-focused Database Administrator to take ownership of database performance, reliability, and security in a remote environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working deeply in SQL, optimizing systems, and solving complex data challenges. You'll play a key role in supporting business-critical systems while collaborating with development and IT teams. Why Join Us Fully remote position (must reside in an approved state) Company-paid quarterly travel for team collaboration SQL-heavy, hands-on technical environment Long-term career growth with a stable organization Collaborative and supportive IT team Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain SQL database systems and data models Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing Troubleshoot and resolve database performance, replication, and capacity issues Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes Ensure database security, integrity, and availability Provide advanced SQL support to internal teams Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and standards Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Information Services or related field Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (required) Experience with Sybase ASE or similar relational databases Expertise in SQL performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization Experience with replication, backup/recovery, and high-availability environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Reliable high-speed internet connection Preferred Qualifications Replication Server or SQL Anywhere experience Background in software development Leadership or project management experience Work Location Requirements This is a remote position. Candidates must reside in one of the following states:

AL, GA, ID, LA, MO, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, WI

Quarterly travel is required and fully covered by the company.
