Contract through 06/30/2028 Position Overview The City of Phoenix is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to provide advanced technical support, data management, and reporting services for the Police Department's Premier One Records Management System (RMS). This position focuses on SQL Server administration, permissions management, query development and optimization, SSRS report development, and data governance while supporting critical public safety operations.
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid (75% Onsite / 25% Remote after onboarding) Key Responsibilities Administer and manage SQL Server database permissions and security access. Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects. Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain SSRS reports. Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements. Troubleshoot SQL queries, report execution issues, performance bottlenecks, and data integrity concerns. Ensure compliance with CJIS requirements, security policies, and IT governance standards. Document database changes, workflows, permissions, and reporting specifications. Support data quality initiatives, reporting enhancements, and system integrations. Coordinate with vendors, IT staff, and Police Department bureaus to deliver reporting solutions. Required Skills Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server. Strong T-SQL development experience. SQL permissions administration and security management. Query tuning and optimization. SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report development and deployment. Database administration and maintenance. Stored Procedures, Views, and Database Objects. Data Governance and Data Integrity. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Reporting and Analytics. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Preferred Skills Experience working with large, complex datasets in public safety or enterprise environments. Experience with Premier One RMS . Systems Integration experience. Data Quality Management. Records Management Systems experience. Knowledge of CJIS compliance and security requirements. Primary Skills Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), T-SQL, Database Administration, Query Optimization, Stored Pro Flexible work from home options available.
