Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Database Administrator to support and maintain critical database platforms across cloud and on-premises environments. This role will be responsible for database administration, performance tuning, security, backup and recovery, data availability, and support for analytics and reporting workloads. This opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on database work and broader data environment ownership, and who wants to continue building their skills in a stable, growth-oriented organization. Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain multiple database platforms across cloud and on-premises environments Monitor database health, performance, availability, and security Manage provisioning, backup and recovery, patching, and ongoing maintenance activities Support database configuration, optimization, and replication as needed Maintain cloud-based data storage environments and support data ingestion processes Help ensure data availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness Implement and support data quality checks, validation rules, and integrity controls Establish and maintain access controls, encryption practices, and other data security measures Optimize databases for analytics, reporting, and operational workloads Monitor performance metrics and proactively troubleshoot bottlenecks and issues Implement automated monitoring and alerting for database health and availability Design, test, and maintain backup and recovery strategies Serve as an escalation point for critical database incidents and outages Support related data, reporting, and process improvement initiatives Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of hands-on database administration experience Experience supporting enterprise database environments in both cloud and on-premises settings Strong experience with SQL Server administration , including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and monitoring Experience with Oracle-based platforms and related administration responsibilities Experience with MySQL administration and optimization Experience supporting cloud-based data storage and data ingestion processes Strong understanding of d atabase security, access controls, data integrity, and availability best practices Experience troubleshooting performance issues and supporting analytics or reporting workloads Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and business teams Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting ERP
