5+ Years Position Summary Seeking an experienced Database Administrator II to support enterprise database environments, including database administration, performance optimization, security management, data warehousing, and disaster recovery initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining database reliability, scalability, and availability while supporting reporting, analytics, and business intelligence solutions. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain enterprise database systems. Support database migrations, upgrades, and data validation activities. Design, analyze, modify, and maintain database architectures and structures. Develop and execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures. Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies. Manage database security, user roles, permissions, and access controls. Create and maintain database documentation, standards, and data dictionaries. Perform logical and physical data modeling for relational databases. Support data warehouse and data mart implementations. Collaborate with development and business teams to integrate database solutions. Evaluate and recommend database technologies, tools, and best practices. Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide technical support. Participate in capacity planning, benchmarking, and performance testing initiatives. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration and database management. Experience supporting enterprise data warehouses and data marts. Experience creating and maintaining data dictionaries and metadata repositories. Strong understanding of database performance monitoring and tuning. Experience with data warehouse development lifecycle activities, including: Business requirements gathering Data modeling Database design Data integration and transformation SQL development and optimization Technical Skills Strong knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS). Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or similar enterprise database platforms. Knowledge of database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery practices. Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, IBM DataStage, or similar technologies. Familiarity with reporting and business intelligence tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, MicroStrategy, or equivalent platforms. Understanding of data warehousing concepts, decision support systems, and database design methodologies. Experience with Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and highly normalized database structures. Strong SQL development and query optimization skills. Preferred Qualifications Oracle Database Administration experience. SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) experience. Experience with legacy database environments. Familiarity with accessibility standards and compliance requirements. Desired Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
