Back to Employment Listings May 22, 2026 Database and Applications Administrator Landmark College is looking for a collaborative and solutions‑driven Database and Applications Administrator to join our Database Services team within the Information Technology Office. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, improving systems, and making a meaningful impact on an institution's digital backbone, this role offers the opportunity to do exactly that. As a key member of our team, you'll help ensure the College's enterprise applications run smoothly and reliably for students, faculty, and staff. Your work will span business systems support, database administration, software maintenance and upgrades, reporting, and managing vendor partnerships to keep our systems evolving and performing at their best. You'll also play a key role in one of the College's most significant technology initiatives of transitioning our Student Information System (Ellucian PowerCampus), Financial Aid System (PowerFaids), and Financial System (Dynamics GP) to Jenzabar J1 and JFA. This is a rare chance to influence system design, streamline processes and help build a modern, integrated platform that will support the College for years to come. Collaboration is central to this role. Working closely with IT colleagues, you'll help safeguard the availability, reliability, and integrity of Landmark's enterprise systems and data—ensuring the entire campus community can depend on the tools and information they need.
Key Qualifications:
We are seeking a collaborative, solutions-oriented professional with: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business systems analysis, application design and development, database administration or related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in database and application programming/analysis utilizing relational database technology. Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL Server database analysis and administration. Advanced knowledge of SQL Server backups, restores, maintenance, and migrations. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Transact-SQL. Extensive experience with data integrations across on-premises and cloud-hosted systems. Experience developing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and think both creatively and logically. Initiative to research solutions, improve processes, and reduce repetitive work. Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Experience documenting systems, procedures, and technical solutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills across varying levels of technical expertise. At Landmark College, our compensation philosophy reflects our institutional values, our commitment to fairness and equity, and our role as a transformative educational community.
