Key Skills:
Oracle DBA (11g/12c/19c+), RMAN, Data Guard/RAC, SQL/PLSQL tuning, Linux/Unix, Shell Scripting Experience with mission-critical production systems and high-volume transactional systems preferred. Cloud exposure (OCI/AWS/Azure) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Administration & High Availability:
Manage, maintain, and upgrade enterprise Oracle Database environments across versions 11g, 12c, and 19c+ . Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) to ensure maximum uptime and load balancing. Design, implement, and test disaster recovery (DR) topologies using Oracle Data Guard and Active Data Guard.
Performance Tuning & Optimization:
Conduct deep-dive performance analysis, diagnostics, and remediation for high-volume transactional systems. Optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL code, utilizing tools like
AWR, ADDM, ASH, SQL
TRACE, and Explain Plan. Proactively manage database storage, memory (SGA/PGA), and I/O performance.
Backup, Recovery & Automation:
Own the end-to-end backup and recovery lifecycle using Oracle RMAN , ensuring strict adherence to enterprise RPOs and RTOs. Administer databases hosted on Linux/Unix operating systems. Automate routine DBA tasks, monitoring alerts, and maintenance windows by writing and maintaining advanced Shell Scripts (Bash/Korn) .
Modernization & Cloud Integration:
Support database migration strategies from on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments. Leverage cloud infrastructure capabilities to optimize database deployments.

Required Technical Skills:
Oracle Database Expertise:
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c+ architecture and administration.
High Availability:
Proficient in Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, ASM, and Data Guard.
Backup & Recovery:
Deep technical knowledge of Oracle RMAN configuration and complex recovery scenarios.
Performance Tuning:
Proven expertise in
SQL/PLSQL
tuning and instance-level performance optimization.
OS & Scripting:
Strong command over Linux/Unix environments and proficiency in Shell Scripting.
Experience & Preferred Attributes:
Production Focus:
Extensive experience supporting mission-critical production systems and high-volume transactional systems , ideally within the financial services or banking sector.
Cloud Exposure:
Experience or familiarity with cloud platforms Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Microsoft Azure is highly preferred.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
