All employees are expected to live and work in Wisconsin . This position will have the option of working remotely upon agreement of the supervisor but will be asked to come into the office periodically. Position Summary The STAR Bureau provides statewide information technology services utilizing a combination of both State-owned equipment and vendor-provided services. The division ensures the effective and efficient use of information technologies in support of Wisconsin government services and programs. It designs, administers, promotes, and supports information technology services to state agencies, local governments, tribal governments, private partners, schools, universities, libraries, and citizens. Support the State of Wisconsin's ERP system through: the application development process. This includes the analysis, design, build, test, implementation and support of reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions. the ongoing support and maintenance of systems upgrades and updates. ensuring development and support are achieved in a timely manner. understanding the various tools and techniques that are needed to support the State of Wisconsin's ERP system. As a result, this position requires solid understanding of systems analysis and design, data modeling, software development lifecycle, and Agile practices Ensure the Development Section process, standards and structures are implemented and adhered to. Support the Development Teams' leads. Ensure the reporting process and structures are defined, implemented, and adhered to. The systems that the incumbent is responsible for are critical to the Department of Administration and the State of Wisconsin mission, with widespread impacts throughout state and local government and affect the private sectors. Salary Information The IS Enterprise System Development Services - Senior is in schedule-range (07-34) with an hourly rate of $30.15 - $41.50 per hour, as well as excellent state benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan. Job Details Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct fingerprinting and background checks on applicants prior to selection. Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following: Experience with writing technical specifications, design documents, fit-gap analysis and ERDs Software development experience with development tools such as but not limited to: PeopleCode, Java, C#, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, SQL etc. Production support experience In addition the minimum qualifications, well qualified applicants will have: Experience with PeopleSoft Development Experience with Agile methodology in supporting IT operations How To Apply Apply online!
