Hybrid Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Redis Database Administrator (Redis DBA) with 5-7 years of experience to manage, optimize, and ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of Redis database environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Redis administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security implementation, and cross-functional collaboration within enterprise database environments. Key Responsibilities Administer, maintain, and support Redis database environments to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance. Perform Redis installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities. Monitor Redis database health and performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and stability. Troubleshoot and resolve Redis-related incidents, performance bottlenecks, and operational issues. Develop, implement, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime and data loss. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance through appropriate controls and operational practices. Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Redis configurations, memory utilization, and data structures. Implement and maintain access controls, authentication mechanisms, and security policies for Redis environments. Perform capacity planning, growth forecasting, and resource allocation to support evolving business requirements. Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and application teams to support deployments, migrations, upgrades, and production initiatives involving Redis. Create and maintain documentation related to Redis configurations, operational procedures, standards, and best practices. Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements related to Redis database administration. Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members and contribute to team development initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5-7 years of hands-on experience administering Redis databases in enterprise environments. Strong knowledge of Redis architecture, installation, configuration, replication, persistence, and clustering concepts. Experience with Redis performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization techniques. Proficiency in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and execution. Experience implementing database security controls and access management practices. Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting for automation tasks. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and collaborative team environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting highly available and distributed Redis deployments. Familiarity with cloud-based Redis services and modern infrastructure environments. Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools. Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools used in database administration.
