Remote Principal Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA Cert)

Job Description The Principal Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) is responsible for the administration, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of Epic IRIS databases to ensure data integrity, system stability, security, and high performance across all Epic environments. This role works closely with application teams, developers, system administrators, and infrastructure teams to support Epic operations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives in a healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Perform core Epic database administration functions, including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IRIS databases Support Epic upgrades, environment refreshes, and routine system health checks Manage database performance, security, and data integrity across multiple Epic environments (Production, Test, Training, etc.) Collaborate with Epic application teams and technical partners to quickly resolve system and performance issues Execute, document, and follow standard change management procedures Provide proactive recommendations to improve performance, reliability, and environment stability Test, validate, and document disaster recovery and business continuity procedures Maintain accurate operational documentation and runbooks We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
