Senior DBA Consultant Ampcus, Inc United States, Nebraska, Lincoln Jun 11, 2026 Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team.
Job Title:
Senior DBA Consultant Location(s):
Lincoln, NE Location:
Onsite preferred in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA. May include some remote support responsibilities. On-call rotation required (nights/weekends).
Experience Level:
Senior DBA with the ability to work independently. Strong troubleshooting and production support background. Experience managing enterprise database environments.
Core Responsibilities:
Administer, maintain, secure, and optimize database environments. Independently resolve performance issues, job failures, space issues, login/connectivity problems, and database inconsistencies. Monitor database health, availability, and integrity. Support high-availability and disaster recovery configurations. Manage incidents, service requests, and operational tickets. Recommend automation and modernization opportunities, including AI-driven improvements. Collaborate with application teams during troubleshooting and upgrades.
Required Technical Skills:
Microsoft SQL Server (2012-2023). SQL Server Administration. T-SQL development (queries, stored procedures, triggers). Backup and Restore. Performance Tuning and Query Optimization. Database Tuning and Index Optimization. SQL Server DMVs and SQL Traces. High Availability technologies: Clustering Always On Availability Groups Replication Mirroring PowerShell Scripting. Database Security and Access Control. Database Schema Management. Ticket/Incident Management.
SSRS, SSAS, SSIS
Installation and Configuration.
Preferred Skills:
Oracle Database Administration. Oracle Exadata. MariaDB. Application support and upgrade experience. Discovery and assessment engagements. Idera monitoring tools. SQL/Oracle Licensing. Development background. Infrastructure migrations. Public cloud exposure.
