Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Data Center Network Engineer with 10+ years of enterprise and data center networking experience to support a large-scale data center decommissioning and infrastructure consolidation initiative. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Cisco networking technologies, brownfield data center environments, migration planning, and network modernization efforts. The ideal candidate has personally executed network device decommissioning, traffic migrations, and infrastructure upgrades within complex enterprise environments. Education Requirement:

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct network audits to identify infrastructure targeted for retirement Back up configurations, routing tables, and VLAN databases before decommissioning activities Design and execute traffic migration strategies to maintain service continuity Decommission routers, switches, and firewalls while maintaining accurate network documentation Migrate legacy infrastructure to modern data center platforms Lead terminal server consolidation initiatives Perform post-migration testing and validation activities Operate within formal change management and CAB approval processes Partner with infrastructure, operations, and project teams to coordinate migration activities
Technical Environment:
Cisco Nexus 9000, 7000, 5000, and 2000 Series Cisco Catalyst 6500, 4500, and 9300 Series Cisco ASR Routers Cisco ACI (Spine-Leaf Architecture)
