Database Developer, Oracle (PL/SQL) to join a high-performing team responsible for enhancing, evolving, and supporting a large, highly available Electricity Market Management System (MMS). In this role, you will work alongside database developers, software engineers, optimization specialists, and power systems professionals to deliver enterprise-grade solutions that support multi-state wholesale energy markets. This next-generation cloud-based platform serves Electric Utilities, Independent System Operators (ISOs), and Transmission System Operators (TSOs), helping drive grid reliability while enabling increased adoption of Solar, Wind, and Energy Storage technologies. To be successful in this position, one needs to be a strong Oracle development professional with at least 8 years of experience in enterprise environments using Oracle 19c or higher and a minimum of 6 years of hands-on PL/SQL development. Strong expertise is required in advanced PL/SQL capabilities including triggers, types, functions, advanced queues, reference cursors, pipeline functions, and subquery factoring clauses. Candidates should have experience with Oracle built-in packages such as DBMS_SCHEDULER, strong SQL tuning and performance optimization skills, and understanding of development considerations in RAC vs non-RAC environments. Experience with both ANSI and Oracle join syntax, along with tools such as Git, TFS, and Toad for Oracle, is highly preferred. The selected candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design documents into scalable working applications, build web services, create efficient queries, and deliver secure, high-quality solutions aligned with SDLC and Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently in a distributed global team environment, communicate effectively with leadership, and bring innovative ideas to solve complex business and technical challenges. Prior experience in the Energy domain, especially Bulk Power Energy Management Systems, will be a strong advantage.
