We are currently supporting a rapidly expanding critical infrastructure organization that develops, builds, owns, and operates large-scale data center facilities across the United States. Backed by major institutional investment and with several gigawatts of operational infrastructure already online, the business continues to invest heavily in the delivery of next-generation mission-critical facilities. As part of this growth, they are seeking a Controls, Security, Network & Compute Lead to take ownership of the intelligent technology systems that underpin modern data center operations. This is a highly visible role positioned at the intersection of engineering, construction, commissioning, and technology, offering the opportunity to influence projects from early-stage design through final turnover and operational readiness. Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery and coordination of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) across large-scale data center developments.
  • Oversee physical security systems including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and associated infrastructure.
  • Manage network infrastructure scopes including structured cabling, fibre backbone systems, switching architecture, and connectivity requirements.
  • Ensure compute environments and white-space infrastructure are delivered to operational and client-specific standards.
  • Act as the primary technical lead for controls, security, network, and compute systems throughout design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, systems integrators, vendors, commissioning teams, and client stakeholders.
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and design documentation to ensure technical compliance and constructability.
  • Drive installation quality, system integration, interoperability, and successful delivery across multiple technical disciplines.
  • Lead commissioning activities, acceptance testing, validation procedures, and turnover documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, and integration risks throughout project execution.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, reporting requirements, and delivery milestones across all technology-related scopes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security frameworks, and client operational requirements. Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience working within Data Center, Mission Critical, Critical Infrastructure, or similarly complex construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of BMS, EPMS, controls systems, and facility automation platforms.
  • Experience with enterprise security platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, or equivalent systems.
  • Proven expertise in structured cabling, network infrastructure, and large-scale facility deployments.
  • Knowledge of data center IT environments and white-space readiness requirements.
  • Experience managing vendors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning methodologies, systems integration, and mission-critical acceptance testing.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and technical workstreams simultaneously.
