Data Center Tech / Installer System One - 3.5 Charleston, SC Job Details Contract $25 - $32 an hour 11 hours ago Benefits Safety equipment provided Qualifications Data center experience Ladder use Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence Fiber optic systems installation Organizational skills Safety equipment Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking experienced Installation Technicians to support a large-scale fiber infrastructure project. This role involves fiber patching, cable installation, and connectivity work within a fast-paced technical environment. Candidates must have strong fiber experience, excellent organizational skills, and a dependable work ethic. Technicians must also be comfortable working on ladders and following all site safety requirements.
Responsibilities Perform fiber patching from:
Patch panel to patch panel Patch panel to device Device to device Install and organize bundled fiber cabling Maintain clean and accurate cable management Follow all site safety procedures and PPE requirements Work efficiently within a team environment Requirements Previous fiber installation or data center cabling experience required Strong understanding of fiber patching and connectivity Ability to climb ladders and work in active technical environments Strong communication and organizational skills Previous central office / data center environment preferred Reliable transportation and dependable attendance PPE Requirements Candidates must provide: Over-the-ankle, ESD-rated composite toe safety boots Additional PPE will be provided on site.
Compensation Pay Rate:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour (depending on experience level) Multiple shifts may be available depending on location To Be Considered Please submit: Updated resume with employment dates Current availability and notice requirements Confirmation of PPE ownership Preferred work location and shift availability Completed technician questionnaire (if requested) Qualified candidates will be contacted with additional project details.
