Job Description
We're looking for an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business. Join us and you'll have the chance to work on projects including steel and aluminum manufacturing facilities as well as other industrial and manufacturing projects. You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget and schedule. You can expect your work to include production of single lines diagrams, electric room layouts, wiring methods such as conduit and cable tray design, cable schedules, ductbank designs, installation details; grounding, lighting, receptacles, and power plans; motor lists and load summaries to help in the design of power systems. You will be guided and mentored as you learn how to size and select cables, over current devices, transformers, and other equipment. You'll also contribute to more complex portions of the design process, interacting directly with the other disciplines for the overall planning of a project from concept through construction and into commissioning. You and your team will work closely with client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents for state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Visa Sponsorship now or in the future is not available for this role Ideally, you'll also have: Engineer in Training (EIT) Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and desire to contribute/collaborate Passion for buildings and construction Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
