Basic Qualifications
2+ years in a Data Center Engineering Role
2+ years Linux troubleshooting experience.
2+ years server hardware troubleshooting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with server hardware components and troubleshooting.
A+ plus certification.
Primary Responsibilities will include:
Troubleshooting and resolution of failed hard drives and failed DIMM's within server nodes.
Installation of new SSD and NVME hard drives into existing servers.
Troubleshooting and resolution of console connectivity issues.
Troubleshooting and resolution of all power supply and RDU (power strip) related issues.
Troubleshooting and resolution of all tier 1 server hardware break fix issues.
Respond to all system problems on a 24X7 basis and take part in on-call rotationSecondary Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Assisting Data Center Technicians in OS level troubleshooting and network troubleshooting.
Process (identify, tag, and prepare) all server nodes ready for decommissioning and prepare them for our third party ITAM vendor to pick up.
Ensure client's data center house rules are being followed and immediately report any concerns to leadership.
Ensure client's data center cleanliness, any issues with cleanliness must be reported to leadership
