Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations. Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user's specialized role. Design and implement database by performing proper requirements gatherings with various sessions with business users. Provide guidance and support to Application Developers Assist with schema design, code review, and SQL query tuning Data modeling using ER Studio and other database modeling tools. Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required. Proficient in scripting languages like Shell, Python, R etc. Work with one or more database technologies that include and not limited to traditional RDBMS and document databases like IBM-DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Amazon RDS, RedShift. Perform feasibility studies, and evaluate user requirements. Must be willing to travel for setting up various systems to various clients at unanticipated locations within the United States for short term and long term durations. Must be willing to travel to various unanticipated locations in the United States. There is no international travel. There is also no relocation required. Any travel requirements will be entirely temporary in nature (up to but not exceeding 25%) and the hired employee will and the hired employee will work the vast majority of the time from Employer address. The travel will be to help clients set up systems from the client end.
