Arlington, VA Job Details Full-time $90,000 - $115,000 a year 7 hours ago Qualifications Linux support System performance optimization Data recovery Database security hardening Database server management Patch management System tuning Linux administration Full Job Description TIAG is now hiring a Senior Database Analyst to support the Office of Naval Research (ONR) enterprise environment. The Database Administrator will manage mission-critical Oracle and PostgreSQL databases supporting business operations, research, financial systems, and enterprise applications. The DBA will be responsible for administration, security, performance tuning, automation, and lifecycle management of enterprise databases across cloud and on-premises environments. This is a position that is 100% onsite (5 days/week at the ONR in Arlington). This position requires a Secret clearance to be able to start work. US or Naturalized Citizenship are a requirement for eligibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance. Maintain database security and compliance through implementation of DISA STIGs and cybersecurity best practices. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance, availability, and capacity. Support database migrations, testing, production deployments, and change management activities. Develop automation scripts using SQL, Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline administration and reporting. Create and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and operational procedures. Provide Tier III support for database-related incidents and service requests. Collaborate with application developers, Linux administrators, cybersecurity teams, and government stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience) Three or more years of experience administering Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases. Experience with backup and recovery, performance tuning, patching, and database troubleshooting. Experience supporting Linux-based environments. Knowledge of security compliance frameworks and

implementation Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government environment Experience with AWS cloud services and hybrid cloud architectures. Familiarity with WebLogic, SFTP automation, and enterprise application integrations. Industry certifications such as Security+, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Linux+, or AWS certifications. Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
