Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly dedicated Data Center Safety Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment within data center facilities. Your expertise will support the health and safety of personnel, safeguard critical infrastructure, and promote a culture of safety compliance across all operational levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of occupational health standards, emergency response procedures, and safety training programs to foster continuous improvement in safety practices. Duties Develop, review, and enforce safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations specific to data center operations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions promptly. Lead incident investigations by performing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence. Design and deliver comprehensive safety training programs covering topics such as first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), workers' compensation law, and occupational health best practices. Maintain detailed report writing documentation for safety incidents, inspections, audits, and compliance activities. Collaborate with facility management to ensure adherence to environmental health and safety (EHS) standards across all operational areas. Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and ensure readiness for various scenarios including fire, medical emergencies, or hazardous material incidents. Stay current with evolving safety regulations and industry best practices to continuously enhance safety protocols. Skills Proven experience in manufacturing or data center environments with a strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and workers' compensation law requirements. Certifications in first aid, CPR, and OSHA safety training are highly desirable. Knowledge of occupational health principles and effective report writing techniques. Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently to identify underlying issues affecting safety. Excellent communication skills for delivering training sessions and conducting safety briefings. Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple safety projects simultaneously. Familiarity with EHS management systems and ongoing training & development initiatives.
