Job Description:
Everforth ECS is seeking a Database Administrator•SME to work in Fairfax, Virginia.
Please Note:
This position is contingent upon contract award. Position Summary ECS is seeking a Database Administrator•SME to support the Army National Guard's ENOCS program by leading the governance and operational oversight of enterprise database environments. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, performance, and security of databases that underpin critical development and production systems. This role is pivotal in aligning database operations with the broader enterprise architecture objectives, contributing to the overall mission success by optimizing data services for scalability and reliability. Responsibilities Lead governance and operational oversight of enterprise database environments. Establish and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability. Develop high-availability configurations and performance optimization standards. Implement data integrity controls and enforce security mechanisms. Oversee vulnerability remediation and conduct capacity planning initiatives. Guide database modernization efforts in alignment with enterprise architecture. Coordinate with application development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams. Ensure scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise data services. Align database operations with operational objectives and enterprise goals.
Required Qualifications Clearance:
Secret Eligible required S. Citizenship required DoD 8140.03
Compliance:
DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 421-Database Administrator at the Advance proficiency level Certifications (one or more required): Security
X / CASP+, CCNP
Security, CISA, CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP Education:
Masters degree or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering Extensive experience in enterprise database administration within DoD or Federal IT environments. Demonstrated expertise in leading operational oversight of database environments. Proven ability to establish and enforce database governance standards. Experience in implementing backup and recovery strategies and high-availability architectures. Expertise in performance optimization practices and data integrity controls. Ability to oversee vulnerability remediation and implement security controls. Experience in conducting capacity planning and guiding modernization initiatives.
