Job Description
This position requires an experienced Senior Database Administrator to establish, manage, and maintain a database hosted on AWS. The database will track transactions and metadata, ensuring accessibility to the team while minimizing costs and administrative overhead. This role requires expertise in building and administering secure databases in classified environments, as well as familiarity with ETL workflows and tools. Establish and administer a PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS, ensuring secure access for team members. Responsibilities Establish, manage, and maintain a database hosted on AWS. Track and manage transactions and metadata efficiently within a database environment. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure database functionality aligns with project requirements. Design and implement data pipelines to support database workflows, ensuring seamless integration with ETL processes. Identify cost-efficient hosting options and manage government resource usage effectively. Ensure database performance, security, and accessibility without the need for accreditation or production-level configurations.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly required to start. 8-14 years of experience in database management or a related field. Proven experience building and managing PostgreSQL databases. Experience managing databases on AWS. Familiarity with Python, particularly in database-related workflows. Experience with Apache NiFi for data integration and workflow automation.
Desired Qualifications:
Military experience or familiarity with military equipment and operations is a plus. Familiarity with designing workflows for classified environments while maintaining security.
