Data Center Engineer (Field Analyst)
Location:
Ashburn, VA Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday, 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM Role Overview This role supports day-to-day data center operations (DCO) and infrastructure projects for the Ashburn facility. Conversion after the contract term is possible based on performance. The ideal candidate has end-to-end data center experience , in a variety of functions, and is comfortable working hands-on while coordinating with vendors and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Perform server and cable infrastructure work: copper and fiber cabling (Cat5/6), rack & stack, testing, troubleshooting, and decommissioning Support power events, capacity management, and new data center build-outs Coordinate vendors, electrical contractors, and internal stakeholders Create, track, and close infrastructure tickets and documentation Requirements 1-7+ years of data center experience Strong understanding of cabling and fiber Hands-on cabling and cable testing experience Flexibility for night shifts, weekends, and overtime
