Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a Safety Specialist to support safety planning, compliance, and risk management on a high‑tech data center construction project. This role focuses on ensuring safe work practices related to chemical handling, cleanroom construction, specialized equipment installation, and general construction activities. The Safety Specialist will conduct site inspections, lead incident investigations, support training initiatives, and help maintain a safe, compliant jobsite. Responsibilities Develop and implement site‑specific safety programs aligned with OSHA, FDA, and industry standards Conduct hazard and risk assessments for chemical handling, cleanroom construction, and equipment installation Monitor compliance with safety protocols, PPE requirements, and regulatory expectations Perform routine audits of construction areas to identify unsafe practices or environmental risks Lead root‑cause investigations for incidents, near‑misses, or safety violations and recommend corrective actions Coordinate and deliver safety training, including hazardous materials, confined space, and emergency response topics Maintain accurate documentation including permits, incident reports, safety audits, and compliance records Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to incorporate safety into all project phases Essential Skills Experience developing and implementing safety plans Strong hazard identification and risk assessment abilities Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and relevant industry regulations Skilled in site inspections, compliance monitoring, and corrective action planning Ability to conduct incident investigations and lead root‑cause analysis Experience creating and delivering safety training Strong documentation and record‑keeping skills Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Safety or a related field 0-2 years of safety experience in construction (internships accepted) OSHA 30 certification required Experience in pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or technical construction environments is a plus Work Environment Fast‑paced data center project environment Frequent jobsite walks, inspections, and interaction with field teams Role supports a highly regulated and safety‑sensitive construction environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
