Job Description
The Education & Data Programs Manager supports the mission of the Southern Region EMS Council (SREMSC) by coordinating EMS education programs, supporting statewide EMS data systems, and providing technical assistance to EMS agencies and healthcare providers within the region. This position assists with the development and delivery of EMS training programs, supports EMS agencies utilizing the State of Alaska EMS Data System (AURORA/ImageTrend Elite), assists with American Heart Association (AHA) training center operations, and supports regional EMS conferences and educational events. The position serves as a resource to EMS agencies, instructors, and healthcare providers regarding education, certification processes, and regulatory requirements. This position may require evening or weekend work for course instruction and educational events. Limited in-state travel may be required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Current Alaska Advanced EMT , Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic , Registered Nurse , Nurse Practitioner , or Physician Assistant license with at least two years of EMS experience. Experience teaching EMS or continuing education courses. Current American Heart Association BLS Instructor certification . Ability to obtain AHA ACLS and PALS Instructor certification within one year of hire . State of Alaska Advanced Instructor certification or eligibility. Experience with EMS data systems such as ImageTrend Elite/AURORA or similar ePCR platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work collaboratively with EMS providers and agencies. Valid Alaska Driver's License or ability to obtain one.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in EMS, healthcare, education, or related field. Experience working with rural or remote EMS systems. AHA ACLS and PALS Instructor certification. NAEMT PHTLS or AMLS Instructor certification. Experience supporting professional conferences or training programs.DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities EMS Education and Training Develops, coordinates, and assists in the delivery of EMS education programs and continuing education courses. Provides instruction for EMS courses and certification programs as assigned. Assists with EMS instructor development programs. Serves as a subject matter resource for EMS education, certification requirements, and regulatory processes. Develops and maintains training materials and educational resources. Maintains training equipment, classrooms, and training materials. Assists with inventory management of trainingequipment and materials. EMS Data Systems Support Provides technical assistance to EMS agencies using the State of Alaska EMS Data System (AURORA/ImageTrend Elite). Assists agencies with data entry issues, reporting functions, and system navigation. Collaborates with the State EMS Data Manager and regional partners to improve data reporting and system utilization. Participates in meetings and training related to statewide EMS data initiatives. Training Center Operations Supports American Heart Association Training Center activities including course coordination and instructor support. Conducts skills verification and certification courses as needed. Maintains training equipment, classrooms, and training materials. Monitors course management systems to ensure certification records and course documentation are accurate. Assists with inventory management of training equipment and materials. Conference and Educational Event Support Assists with planning and coordination of the annual Alaska EMS Conference and other educational events. Coordinates with speakers regarding classroom setup and equipment needs. Assists with vendor and sponsor coordination. Provides operational support for conference logistics and scheduling. Administrative and Program Support Maintains EMS educational records and documentation. Assists with marketing and promotion of EMS training programs. Provides customer service and responds to inquiries from EMS agencies, instructors, and students. Maintains confidentiality of certification records and examination materials. Utilizes various software platforms to support program operations.Job Type:
