Job Description

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking to fill the Offender Information Unit (OIU) Manager position. Current ADCRR Employees:
Consult with your respective Human Resources Liaison if you are in a different retirement plan than the one indicated above.Knowledge of:
- Work management and supervision principles and techniques
- Federal and state laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures governing offender records and provisions of release of information
- Interstate Agreement on Detainer laws and procedures
- Criminal codes, sentence and parole laws, and methodology of time calculations for release dates
- Functions and jurisdictions of local, state, and federal courts and law enforcement agencies
- Board of Executive Clemency policies, procedures, and programs as they apply to offender releases
- Administrative office practices and procedures Skill in:
- Effective management and team building of staff
- Comprehending and interpreting legal court documents, orders, detainers, warrants, criminal codes, sentences and parole laws; rules and regulations, policies and procedures governing offender records, and security and release of information
- Calculating eligibility release dates
- Verbal and written communications
- Building and maintaining interpersonal relations
- Time management and organization
- Typing
- Problem-solving and decision-making techniques Ability to:
- Work with diverse personalities and situations in the workplace
- Comprehend and interpret legal language and court decisions
- Plan, analyze, and establish priorities
- Learn and adhere to ADCRR policies and procedures
- Learn ACIS
- Maintain confidentiality
- Work in a prison environment Selective Preference(s)
- Three (3) years of experience in a related field
