Job Description

Principal Product Manager -
Data Governance & Metadata Location:
California Duration:
Longterm Required Qualifications 15+ years of product management experience in software, enterprise technology, or data platforms. Experience managing products end-to-end including strategy, roadmap, backlog, delivery, and launch. Strong knowledge of design thinking and human-centered product methodologies. Experience with enterprise data governance, metadata, lineage, data quality, or catalog platforms. Hands-on experience with tools like Collibra, Alation, Informatica, dbt, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of data governance, stewardship, metadata, lineage, and enterprise data ecosystems. Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders and influence teams without direct authority. Experience using AI tools such as LLMs, Claude, or GitHub Copilot in product management workflows. Strong communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills. Experience evaluating enterprise data tools and buy-vs-build product decisions. Nice-to-Have Experience in financial services or regulated industries with exposure to compliance, privacy, audit, and data retention requirements.
